So today I was scanning on Facebook. I was seeing a lot of post about and Thanksgiving Challenge.
Instead, consider celebrating this month for the holiday it’s most famous for…Thanksgiving!
So from now until Thanksgiving I’m going to be participating in a Be Thankful – Thanksgiving Challenge. Each day through November 24th I’m going to post on Facebook and Twitter what I am thankful for that day through the eyes of a teacher. I will also blog about something that I am thankful for in the world of teaching/education.
It’s not always going to be huge or earth shattering, just a simple acknowledgment of my thankfulness for the day. And when the day is not going so well, it will be a good reminder that even on the worst of days there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for.
So, if you’d like to join me this month just answer the question “What am I thankful for today?” You can share your daily response on Facebook or Twitter, write it down in a journal, or say it aloud. Whatever works best for you.
Together we can do our part to slow down the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving and use it to give thanks where thanks is due. I’ll bet by the time we get to Thanksgiving each of us will know how truly blessed we are.
